Angus Forbes

Angus spent 20 years in London working with James Capel, Merrill Lynch and GLG Partners. At Merrill Lynch he led Scottish Institutional sales and then Hedge fund sales. Angus ran European research at GLG Partners before managing the Global Consumer fund 2003-07, with returns of 20% p.a. In early 2007, Angus launched the GLG Environment Fund and established the sustainability framework that has become the central approach of Natural Capital's funds today.
In 2007, Angus was the inaugural Project Director of the Prince of Wales' Rainforest Project at Clarence house in London. Angus was also Chairman of Burgopak (2002-07), a packaging firm ranked 6th fastest growing company in Britain in 2008.
Marcus Burns
Co-Founder and CIO, BA/LLB, Grad dip in Applied Finance (SIA)
Marcus started his career as a financial analyst at Procter & Gamble. He joined Schroder Investment Management in 1997, spending 4 years in Sydney before transferring to Schroders London in 2001, where he was a Pan European analyst until 2002. In 2002 he joined Citigroup Securities as a specialist salesman on the consumer sector. Marcus was consistently ranked by various sellside surveys at the top of his field. In 2005 Marcus joined Angus at GLG Partners to co-run the GLG Global Consumer fund until April 2008. Marcus was also recognised by Institutional Investor Magazine in 2007 with "Best of the Buyside for Beverages, Household & Personal Care and Tobacco".
Madeleine Beaumont

Madeleine began her career as a research sales person for Salomon Brothers in Sydney on US equities. She then moved to SBC Warburg where she worked as an equity analyst on food and retail sectors. Madeleine joined the buyside with UBS Asset Management in Sydney where she covered media, food and retail before moving to London in 1999. In London Madeleine spent 4 years as a Pan European sector analyst for SEB Asset Management. Madeleine then joined M&G (Prudential) where she was the head of European research and managed a European retail fund
Jacqui Courtney

Jacqui has an oustanding record in the development of the responsible investment movement in Australia. Apart form being a founding member and secretary to the Ethical Investment Association (now RIAA) Jacqui acted as a consultant to Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology-Global Sustainability Unit and the Sustainable Energy Development Authority, where she also previously worked. Jacqui is responsible for overseeing our sustainability work and its implementation.
Mark Whittaker
Mark is the Natural Capital FM representative in London
Mark joined Natural Capital Funds Management in November 2009 to launch and head up its European Marketing arm, based in London. Previously Managing Director of UBS Investment Bank in London, Mark has over 15 years experience in the European and US financial markets having also worked at James Capel and Bankers Trust. Whilst at UBS, Mark was committed to sustainable investment and instigated a new equity trading book in alternative energies.
Also specialising in start-up businesses, Mark was a Board Director of Burgopak Holdings Limited, a packaging and creative design company. He helped grow Burgopak from a small start-up operation with four employees, based in London, to an international company with 65 employees located in six countries over a four-year period. Burgopak was named the 6th fastest growing UK private company by the Sunday Times Fast Track Awards in 2008. Mark has helped to raise growth capital from both private clients and institutions for many companies in a range of sectors.
Hamish Burns

Hamish is responsible for managing Natural Capital's back office operations. He has 5 year of accounting experience and has previously worked in the renewable energy and property development sectors. Hamish brings his technical skills to enhance the teams understanding of science based industries.
Chrys Wickremeratne

Chrys has over 20 years experience in the Financial Markets including Fund Services, Asset Management and Investment Banking.
Holding a position at JPM presently, he worked for Perpetual where he held the Senior Management role of Business Unit Manager in the Corporate Trust Division, overseeing Registry, Financial Custody, Unit Pricing , Fund Accounting and Trust Management and Investor Reporting. Prior to joining Perpetual he worked at Asteron, Bankers Trust Funds Mgt, Barclays Global investors and Midland Montague Australia Limited.
