We have very robust back office operations at Natural Capital FM with excellent risk management, custodial separation and compliance procedures. This page is about another aspect of our operations, our efforts to operate light from an environmental perspective. 

Supply chain compounding is one of the best ways to drive change. Our poor suppliers! Normally we find that they go into a state of shock when we request things such as a Fujitsu Primergy S1 server that's locally sourced with no carbon foot print associated with delivery. We do say please about 15 times though, and that helps a lot...

Replace air travel with technology access where possible.  We want to be virtually air travel free. We already have a limit of 100k miles p.a. for the group, total.

Minimise waste. We recognise that 90% of all raw materials don't reach the final product and that 80% of all goods are used once.  We hate landfill, we hate short term one off product use.

You think you recycle!? The other day we spied Jacqui ripping up used paper and stapling the bits together to make small notepads. 

We have a 100% e-waste recycle policy, we use a for profit recycler for all our electronic waste. We also work on laptops which use about half the power of PCs.

We constantly check our daily habits: We travel to work by public transport or by scooter, we eat food with medium food miles (need to try harder there) and we operate in a building with a lot of natural light and the windows actually open, so most days we do not use lights or any form of HVAC.
